ONLY 6% of adults in Louisiana OPENLY identify as LGBTQIA+.
94% of LGBTQ youth reported that recent politics negatively impacted their mental health.
75% of LGBTQ youth reported that they had experienced discrimination based on their sexual orientation or gender identity at least once in their lifetime.
LGBTQ youth who have access to spaces that affirm their sexual orientation and gender identity report significantly
lower rates of attempting suicide.
Acadiana Queer Collective exists to do their part in making a safe
and inclusive community for Acadiana's LGBTQIA+ of all ages.
We ask that you openly show support to your neighbors by partnering with our organization.
Acadiana Queer Collective is a charitable organization as described in §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; EIN#: 88-0775444, registered in the state of Louisiana. In accordance with the Internal Revenue Service guidelines, Acadiana Queer Collective maintains discretion and sole control over the use of all donated funds. All donations are in US dollars and non-refundable. In practice, Acadiana Queer Collective honors the giving preferences for any of our previously approved programs and projects whenever possible. In rare cases, when that is not possible, gifts will be used where needed. Therefore, donors explicitly release Acadiana Queer Collective from any restrictions on how those funds are spent. No goods or services were provided in return for any contribution. Contributions are tax-deductible to the limit allowed by law if the donor itemizes.
