About the Company
Welcome to the Acadiana Queer Collective, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2022 with a passion for fostering a vibrant and inclusive community for queer individuals in the Acadiana region. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to providing opportunities for queer people of Acadiana to stand together, fostering a sense of unity and strength within our diverse community.
As the proud organizers of Pride Acadiana, Inclusive Prom, and the Health and Wellness Fair, we strive to create spaces that celebrate the rich tapestry of LGBTQ+ identities. These events are not only occasions for joy and connection but also platforms to promote the positive visibility of queer individuals throughout the community.
In addition to our signature events, we take pride in managing an LGBTQ+ affirming Resource List, a valuable compilation of supportive businesses and providers in our community. Our commitment goes beyond these initiatives, as we are dedicated to continually expanding our programming and resources in the coming years, ensuring that we adapt to the evolving needs of the LGBTQ+ community in Acadiana.
Our Mission is simple yet profound: to provide opportunities for queer people of Acadiana to show up for one another. By doing so, we aim to cultivate a community where everyone feels a sense of belonging, support, and empowerment. Through our work, we strive to dismantle barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create a society where diversity is not just accepted but celebrated.
Our Vision is one of connection and support. We aspire to connect and support the Acadiana LGBTQ+ community so that every queer individual feels included and valued. We believe in the power of solidarity, recognizing that by fostering a sense of community, we can overcome challenges, celebrate successes, and collectively create a more inclusive and compassionate Acadiana.
Join us on this journey of building a stronger, more connected, and supportive community. Together, we can shape a future where every queer person in Acadiana can live authentically, thrive, and contribute to the rich mosaic of our diverse and beautiful community.
